The PADI Drift Diver specialty course is a two-dive course that teaches you the skills and knowledge you need to dive safely in currents.

The course covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Types of currents and how they affect divers
  • Dive planning and execution in currents
  • Communication and signaling with other divers in currents
  • Buoyancy control and navigation in currents
  • Entry and exit techniques in currents

The course is typically conducted over one day and includes both classroom instruction and open water dives.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be certified as a PADI Drift Diver. This certification allows you to dive in currents of up to 3 knots.

The PADI Drift Diver specialty course is a great option for divers who want to explore new dive sites and experience the best that scuba diving has to offer. It is also a good choice for divers who plan to travel and dive in different parts of the world, as many of the best dive sites are located in areas with strong currents.

Please note that drift diving can be challenging and should only be attempted by experienced divers who have been properly trained.

Why Drift Diving?
Drift diving is a popular type of scuba diving that involves using currents to carry you along. It can be a very relaxing and enjoyable way to dive, as you don’t have to work as hard to swim. Drift diving can also be a great way to see a lot of marine life, as currents often attract large schools of fish and other marine creatures.
